GOOOH! – Revolution Without Bloodshed

By hparis February 1, 2010

Unlike progressive liberals who have no problem with “the end justifies the means” thinking, I am all for a peaceful resolution to our current governmental turmoil.  One, my .22 long rifle is no match for a military issue M16, or what the heck ever they’re shootin’ these days; two, I’m old, fat, and out of… »

Loving Liberty More Than Loving The Current Incarnation Of The United States Of America

By hparis January 31, 2010

There are many “patriotic Americans” who will be offended by what I am about to say.  If somewhere in the world a new nation were formed with the ideals of liberty, the same that our Founders intended for us, I would seriously consider my option of leaving this ONCE GREAT nation.  No, I’m not anti-American. … »

Am I The Only Libertarian Thinking Person NOT Offended By Harry Reid’s Comment?

By hparis January 16, 2010

I know I’m going to take a lot of flack on this, but I feel compelled to get this out.  Maybe I’m just ignorant, maybe I am a raaacist, maybe it’s because I live in Buffalo… I don’t know…
But what Harry Reid said was basically true.  Ok… his comment on the tonal quality of Obama’s… »

Shawn: The Plight Of A Young Black Man On Buffalo’s East Side

By hparis January 3, 2010

I kind of went nut-so on my “Happy Kwanzaa” blog post the other day.  First I spewed anger and frustration in the original post, then I went back and added an update, articulating how I really felt about things.  Because of the color of my… »

Niagara Frontier Food Terminal

By hparis December 31, 2009

It’s almost hard to believe that in the nearly 20 years I’ve owned my home in this neighborhood, I have yet to shop at the Niagara Frontier Food Terminal or the Farmer’s Market!  The view is walking down Clinton Street going towards Bailey from downtown. … »

Happy Kwanzaa? – updated

By hparis December 27, 2009

I don’t even know where to begin.  I might as well get it out of the way.  Yes, I must be a raaacist!  It’s that time of year where I roll my eyes and shake my head in disbelief that there’s a “holiday” called Kwanzaa. … »

Jesus, The King

By hparis December 25, 2009

As we celebrate the birth of the King, let us remember that he IS “The King.”
Even as a pagan unbeliever for the first 32 years of my life, I had little difficulty accepting the idea of a cute little baby king.  A baby is defenseless,… »

Time To Sh*t Or Get Off The Pot

By hparis December 23, 2009

No, this has nothing to do with politics, or religion, or any of my usual rants.  This post has everything to do with my health.  Up until recently, I’ve considered myself to be a fairly healthy fat person.  My vitals were all good; I just… »

Jesus’ Christmas Present For Harry Reid And His Satanic Minions

By hparis December 21, 2009
secondcoming

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. Revelation 1:7
Don’t worry people.  Jesus has his own way of… »

Black Conservatives: Time To Be Heard

By hparis December 5, 2009

This is a 4-part video from a Glenn Beck special featuring black conservatives a few weeks back.  I missed it when it originally aired, but caught a replay of it on Fox this afternoon.
A couple observations I made:
1) Glenn is in PC mode still.  He… »

Good News OR Bad? Comcast To Buy NBC Universal

By hparis December 3, 2009

This is the headline I woke up to this morning: Comcast to buy controlling stake in NBC Universal
On one hand you might have monopoly empire, on the other, in perhaps some sound business decision making, you might have a change in programming.  I’m curious to… »

The UK: America’s Future

By hparis November 29, 2009

American Thinker is one of my favorite daily reads.  There’s sure to be an article or blog post there which catches my eye.  What’s even more fun is the discussion which ensues in the comments section.  In my daily blog adventures, I oftentimes get most… »

THE FATE OF SURPLUS PETS:
What happens to this "surplus"? Most of them die. They get sick. They starve or freeze to death. They are hit by cars, become wounded in fights with other animals, and suffer abuse by uncaring people. Some of the fortunate animals end up in shelters, where trained caregivers make every effort to find them new homes. But the numbers tell a tragic story. There are many more pets in shelters than there are people able to provide permanent, responsible, loving homes. Millions of pets are euthanized every year for one painfully simple, tragic, and preventable reason: no one wants them. This is a heartbreaking waste of a life. Death - by disease, injury, abuse, starvation, or euthanasia - is an unacceptable solution to the problem of homeless pets.

The real solution prevents the surplus from occurring: Please SPAY or NEUTER your pet to prevent over population and death.
